LCC, where my heart and this year belongs.
I met an interesting Italian girl today, she is easy going and nice.
I love her way of speaking. When she shared about her religion, she is calm and smoking with a rolled cigarette.
How nice.

J'attends

J'attends (I am waiting) - is a photography project curated for those who appreciate waiting as an attitude and aesthetic.

In our hectic schedule, waiting is a luxury by-product of our life. We will not wait others for many reasons - being late, work, traffic congestion, sickness, tube delay or what so ever. By all means, we will not wait in many circumstances. However, there is love where people paused their life. Take a few minutes break and probably doing nothing to wait for those who come late.

This project captures these scenes for those who are late or being waiting. These scenes are for them, not anyone.

Heart of London, an intrinsic voice echoing back and forth

It sounds silly, but I am thrilled to see snow in London. This is my first time.

7 Jan, It will be a new beginning of my life. A milestone for my life, a brand new start in London - the place that I always dream about.

Making this far was never easy, I have been trying many ways of making it works. Yet, finally I fail at the end. The first one probably is Fabrica, from the high point I was offered a chance to work over there as a trial, even it only lasts for 2 weeks long. It opens me and I can never go back to the way I stay in Hong Kong. So I made a commitment to myself - "Someday, I will leave Hong Kong, for long or short, I have to give myself a break".

A termination of life, a life that I never wanted to be, I always believe that life is more than work, work is important, but, it is not the whole picture of a human being. Especially as a designer, a graphic designer in Hong Kong. Everyone can be a graphic designer as long as you know those software eg. Photoshop etc. So what's the point of being it and I am still searching the meaning.

As you probably know Hong Kong is a city that makes thing never stay, heritage, culture even with its design taste and level, it moves faster than our imagination, but in a bad way. If you are not working in financial, banking or any money making sectors, never think of people will pay attention on you. Designer for layman is just a person who know photoshop rather than a profession that worth to be respected.

I long for this opportunity more than anything. At last I make it. I will treasure this chance as I always remind myself this is never easy.

Tomorrow will be the first day in LCC, I do hope I can experience more as the process is what I am looking for.

By the way, I am a graphic designer that bears a pessimistic and cynical mind. If you want something fairy and happy. Probably another place is better for you.
